Beth Wiggs

I received my degree from Sam Houston State University.  I received my Bachelor of Science in 1973. I got my Master of Education in 1974.  I got into education because I did not want to complete my internship for a dietitian. After I entered the field of Education I found a feeling of accomplishment in teaching.
I began my teaching career in Corsicana, Texas working with Pre-K students at Navarro Jr. College.  The grant was for one year, the second year I began teaching at Penelope ISD.  I taught Home Economics.  I taught there for 17 years.  The last 5 years I taught both Home Economics and Kindergarten. In 1992, I started teaching Kindergarten at Hubbard Elementary School.  I moved to High School in 2011.  Since 2011 I have taught Life Skills, Special Education and FCCLA.
The reason I have remained teaching in Hubbard, is because I grew up here and graduated from Hubbard.  Both of my children graduated from Hubbard High School.  As long as I feel I have something to offer students I will continue to teach.
