Hello Jags! My name is Kelly Yarbrough Brunner, LBSW, and I am a mom, wife, coach, competitive pool player and team captain, licensed social worker, and a teacher. All my life, I have enjoyed helping people, and I feel like my life experience, in combination with all of my professional experience, has prepared me well for a position here as a Special Education teacher at Hubbard Elementary. I served as a hospice social worker for many years (and still do part time) but decided to enter education because I really enjoy shaping lives and preparing young people for a bright future. I assumed that I would do so much for them, but little did I know that it would be they who would be blessing ME!!!! I have been in education for seven years now, consider it a wonderful blessing and priveledge to make a positive impact on the lives of children. and I sincerely thank God every day for opening up this opportunity to me.
It is truly an honor to serve the children of our community, and I do so with an open and happy heart! If there is anything I can ever do for you, your child, or your family, please feel free to ask. I love my students with all my heart, and there is absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for their happiness or the wellbeing of their families! I feel very blessed to be in this position and would like to thank the wonderful team at Hubbard ISD for welcoming me into their Jag family this year!!!
