My name is Angie Cuevas. This will be my fifth year to teach high school Spanish. In 1990, I had the opportunity to live in Chihuahua, Mexico (for almost 2 years) and still own a home their which I visit as much as possible. I have traveled throughout Mexico and to Spain. While living in Mexico I fell in love with the Spanish language and it has become my passion to learn the language.
My goal is to teach your student the basic language of Spanish, a different culture and way-of-life, and about food that is not common to this country. When someone learns a second language the world and job market opens up to that person. Few people get the opportunity to travel and learn about those who live outside of this country. By the end of the school year, my hope is our students will understand the importance of learning a second language.
